Missed FRIEND of VPR
Today 29th Nov 2018 was a sad and joyous occasion at VPR. As we launch our stations new equipment and the fact we now stream over the internet along with direct to the patients bedside units within the hospital, free.
One of our long time members David Reynolds (25yrs) at VPR (starting at Joyce Green then to Dart radio), who past away Dec 2017 was also remembered.
Dave's employers John Lewis of Bluewater donated our single largest contribution of eight thousand pounds to us, along with many others. They all helped us to enter the modern era of smart phones, tablets and PC's.
Davids father and mother Kelvin & Ruth, along with the Mayor/Mayoress of Dartford, David and Ellen Mote, were on hand to cut ribbon and unveil. Then they both, David and Kelvin said a few words to the assembled crowd of members of VPR, friends and family. Plus Sally George, head of volunteer services, who witnessed the new look studio and plaque in honor of Davids contribution to hospital radio.
VPR chairman of 4 years Phil Royce Murfin also said a few words on the stations past and future.
We will always be in need of funds to keep this free service run by only volunteers please click HERE to donate.
