Dartford Thanks Valley Park Radio.
Darent Valley Hospital’s own radio station – Valley Park Radio – received the thanks of the Borough of Dartford and also a boost to its funds in the shape of £2,500.
Valley Park Radio was one of a selected few Dartford Charities who had been nominated by outgoing Dartford Mayor – Councillor Ian Armitt to be recipients of a monetary award from the Mayors Charity fund. Valley Park Radio Chairman – Neil White, Secretary – Dave Lockyer, Treasurer – Dave Wilkes and Station Engineer – Dave Lamb were invited along to the Dartford Civic Centre to receive the cheque from Mayor Ian Armitt; one of his last official duties before standing down at the end of his year of office.

VPR Scoops More Awards at HBA Awards in Blackpool.
Three Valley Park Radio Presenters have been awarded at the Annual HBA Radio awards held in Blackpool. They Are, Nicola Mills, Iain Hart and Dave Lockyer.
Nicola was awarded the Bronze award for Best Newcomer.
Iain Hart was similarly awarded Bronze in the Category of Best Specialist Music Programme.
and Dave Lockyer was Highly Commended in the category of Best Male Presenter.

Monthly Quiz Nights to raise funds for VPR.
Valley Park Radio is holding a series of Quiz Nights. Starting on Thursday 26th Feb at 8pm. The Quizzes are being held at The Acacia Hall Bar in Dartford and anyone is welcome to come along.
